Native Plants

We host native plant sales monthly throughout the growing season. Can't make it to a plant sale? Plants are also available for purchase via email beginning in late May/early June with pickup as arranged. Send order requests to grulergardens@grulergardens.com with the word ORDER in the subject line.  Or use the contact form here on our website. Tell us the plants you would like, quantities of each, your name, email, phone number, and any other message you like. We will check our inventory and respond to you promptly to confirm availability and arrange a pickup time.

Native plant orders received less than one week prior to any scheduled sale will be filled the following week with post-sale stock. Plants and flowers are subject to availability. Our inventory is always changing, and there may be additions to or deletions from the following list throughout the season; the list does not reflect our current inventory. Thank you for your interest and support.

Why Buy from Us?

  • As a licensed nursery, we provide daily care for our plants from their seedling stage until they go home with you. As gardeners ourselves, we take pride in the quality of our plants. They are not brought in temporarily from other locations for a one-time sale.

  • We grow our plants from seed or purchase them from wholesale nurseries, most of which are also family owned. When you buy from us you support a network of small local growers.

  • Most of our plants are sold in one-quart sizes, an economical alternative to the more common one-gallon sizes sold at many nurseries. We encourage you to compare the well-developed root systems of our plants with those found elsewhere at higher prices.

  • When we ask you how plants you purchased from us are doing in your garden, we really want to know! We enjoy hearing about your gardening projects and encourage you to tell us about any issues that you may be having so we can help.

  • We are always learning and seeking to improve our offerings. We demonstrate our commitment through continuing education, professional memberships and service to our community.

We appreciate your business. Thank you!

New! Spring Shrub & Tree Sale!

This year we're introducing an early spring sale featuring bare root shrubs and trees, many of which are not widely available in our area. Shrubs offer tremendous benefits for wildlife while increasing biodiversity, stabilizing soil, and looking gorgeous in our landscapes.

Because bare root shrubs should be planted as soon as possible once received, we're accepting orders via email for plants to be picked up in early May, prior to our first scheduled sale. Use this convenient ORDER FORM (or simply send us a list of the plants you would like and quantities of each). We'll contact you when your plants are available to arrange pickup and payment. *dioecious plants produce either only male flowers (staminate) or only female flowers (pistillate). For successful pollination both male and female plants must be grown in close proximity. We recommend buying groups of 3-5 of these species.to increase likelihood of pollination.
