Service Description
This introductory class is for anyone who would like to have a cut flower garden at home. Learn about the growing methods, supplies, and equipment we use, and I’ll share some of my successes, failures, and recommendations. We’ll talk about choosing and prepping a garden site and selecting flowers that work best for cuts. This is an opportunity to see, smell, and touch the flowers and plants we grow in preparation for growing your own. Class will be approximately 2 hours in length, depending somewhat on needs and interests of the group. Limited to 10 participants. Optional: bring a camera, notepad, and gardening gloves. About the Workshop Presenter: Monica is a member of the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers, Michigan Wildflower Association, Native Plant Guild, Michigan Master Gardener Association and Northern Michigan Master Gardener Association. She is the founder and current president of Wild Ones of Northwest Lower Michigan, a seedling chapter of the national Wild Ones association.
